Evening Dinners at Hadley Point:

Friday, Sept. 5 - Paddlers Potluck (Free) - bring some favorite eats to share.  

Saturday, Sept. 6 - BBQ Dinner ($20), vegetarian option available

After Dinner Presentation - Circumnavigating Scandinavia part 1 - Allen, Schoon

Sunday, Sept. 7 - Lobster Bake ($25), vegetarian option available

Night Paddle - if you've never paddled on the sea at night, you owe yourself this special treat. (weather permitting).   Free, but sign-up in advance so we can have enough guides.

Hang out around the fire - a time to gather with new friends and old, to relax, tell a war story or two.

Special  Post-symposium Event

Tuesday, Sept. 9
Single day circumnavigation of Mount Desert Island (approx.  40 nautical miles)

If you have open water skills (old 4-star or new 3-star or equivalent) and would like to try your hand at a real endurance challenge, come join us.   We'll have to deal with tides and some very exposed coastline.

Please be aware that this will be very challenging and could take from 12-18 hours!  You'll want to train hard for this.   But think of the bragging rights if you make it...

Cost:  $75.00 for symposium participants

Location:  Hadley Point

Start time will be determined depending on tides and weather.  Participants will need to be prepared to leave "early" and be out "late"!

Participation will be limited by the number of coaches I can talk into this! But we'll maintain a waiting list.

Jeff & I will be there--it will be good training for the rest of Norway!
